Trial License
TreePlan Software grants a license to prospective purchasers to use the
Trial version of a TreePlan, SensIt, or RiskSim add-in for a 30-day evaluation
period. Please share copies of the Trial version freely with prospective purchasers. You are granted permission to
make as many copies of the Trial/Tryout version as you wish.
The Trial version is not free software. If you want to continue using the
software after 30 days, you must purchase a Classic or Student license. For

Instructors who require their students to use the software must obtain a
Student license, either by having students use a textbook that has a license or
by purchasing a license from TreePlan Software. For information about purchasing

Student License
TreePlan Software will grant a license to a student or
a multi-user license to a university, school, department, or instructor to allow
students to use the Student version. The Student version is for use only by
instructors and students in a specific university, school, or department covered
by the license.
Instructors who require their students to use the software must
obtain a Student license for their students, either (1) by
purchasing a license from TreePlan Software via SWReg, or (2) by having students own a
textbook that has a license.
With a multi-user license, after
you purchase and download the file, you may duplicate and distribute the
downloaded files to licensed users by disk, network, web, etc.
A licensed copy of our software may be used by a single person
who uses the software personally on one or more computers, or it may be
installed on a single workstation used non-simultaneously by multiple persons,
but not both.
You may access a licensed copy of our software through a
network, provided that you have obtained multiple licenses for the software
covering all workstations that will access the software through the network.
That is, each workstation must have its own license, regardless of whether the
software is used at different times or concurrently.
The multi-user prices for Student licenses are heavily
discounted, so there is no discount for future Student versions or for moving
from the Student version to the Classic version. Support is provided only
to the person who makes the purchase via SWReg or only to another person
designated by the purchaser.
Classic License
TreePlan Software will grant a license to a purchaser
to use the Classic version of our software.

Warranty
TreePlan Software warrants that the software will perform
substantially as specified in the product's user guide for a period of 30 days
from the date of purchase. We reserve the right to make changes to the
specifications of the software and the contents of the user guide without
obligation to notify any person or organization of such changes. Any implied
warranties are limited to 30 days. Some states do not allow limitations of
duration of an implied warranty, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
TreePlan Software's entire liability and your exclusive remedy shall
be, at our option, either the return of the price paid or the replacement of the
software that does not meet our Limited Warranty and which is returned to us
with a copy of your receipt. This Limited Warranty is void if failure of the
software is due to accident, abuse, misapplication, or complications arising
from your choice of hardware, operating system, or auxiliary software.
Except as specified above, TreePlan Software disclaims all other
warranties, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied
warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, with respect
to the software, example files, and user guides. This warranty gives you
specific legal rights. You may have other rights which vary from state to state.
In no event shall TreePlan Software or any of its employees be liable
for any damages whatsoever (including without limitation damages for loss of
business profits, business interruption, loss of business information, and the
like) arising out of the use of or inability to use our software, even if we
have been advised of the possibility of damages. Since some states do not allow
the exclusion of limitation of liability for consequential or incidental
damages, the above limitation may not apply to you.
Privacy
We respect your right to privacy and will hold your private information in
confidence. We will not divulge your personal information to marketers or other
third parties. If necessary, we may divulge your information for reasons related
to net abuse, collection of money owed us, or compliance with law. We may
occasionally use your information to contact you regarding new versions of our
products. Our web site does not use cookies.
When you purchase one of our products via SWReg, our order-processing
service, we receive your name, email and physical address, the payment method
you used (e.g., Visa, MasterCard, etc.), your phone number, and the date and
time of the order. SWReg uses encryption to protect your credit card number
and other details, and we do not see your credit card number. For more
