Why: |
Current versions are
compatible with
Windows Excel 2000 through 2010 and Mac
Excel 2011. TreePlan 1.78 added compatibility with non-English
versions of Excel. TreePlan 1.77 added compatibility with Mac Excel
2011. TreePlan 1.76 and 1.77 have (a) improved compatibility for installation with Excel 2010 and
(b) improved selection of graphic objects of the decision tree diagram with
widescreen monitors.
SensIt
1.45 fixed (a) a seldom-encountered bug when the minimum, base case, and
maximum values for an input variable are identical and (b) a problem
where data labels are not updated properly when tornado chart data are
sorted.
RiskSim 2.42 fixes a seldom-encountered bug when all simulated
results are an identical constant value. RiskSim 2.41 has improved support for charts in non-English versions
of Excel.
Current versions of SensIt and RiskSim are
compatible with Mac Excel 2004. Version 1.73 of TreePlan
is compatible with Mac Excel 2004. Please refer to the

If you purchased
the Classic/Standard or Pro versions of TreePlan, SensIt, RiskSim,
TreePlan ToolKit,
or WhatIf ToolKit via Digibuy or SWReg, you can obtain a 50% discount when you upgrade to the
new versions. No matter which Classic/Standard or Pro product you previously purchased,
you may choose to apply this 50% discount to the purchase of any of the
current Standard/Classic versions: TreePlan, SensIt, RiskSim, WhatIf ToolKit,
or TreePlan ToolKit.
The 50% discount is available only for the Standard/Classic license, not for the
already-heavily-discounted Student/Academic/Education license and not
for the free 30-day
Trial/Tryout

How: |
(1) Send an email message to
Mike Middleton with information about your original
Classic/Standard or
Pro purchase. The best
way to identify your purchase is to specify order number, which has
the format RE1234567 or U1234567. If the order number isn't available, please provide the
approximate date of your purchase, or the email address you provided when you
ordered online, or some other information I can use to search my database to
confirm your purchase. (2) After I verify your original purchase, I will send
you an email message describing how you can purchase the new product
at a discounted price. Be sure to provide an email address that will
accept a zip file email attachment.
(3) After you purchase the upgrade, SWReg will send you a confirmation email message,
and I will send you the new software as a zip file email attachment. Right-click or double-click the zip file to
extract the XLA add-in files.
(4) Use your file manager to locate the old copies of the XLA add-in
files and delete
them. Exit Excel, restart Excel, choose Tools | Add-Ins or Office Button
| Excel Options | Add-Ins | Manage Excel Add-ins to check or
uncheck each old add-in, answer prompts to remove the old add-ins, and
exit Excel. Then move the new file to the location of the old copy,
and restart Excel.
